Just after 11 pm Monday Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a traffic hazard on SH 249 at Baltzell. When the deputy arrived he found a 2004 Honda motorcycle which had struck the curb where SH249 begins as a divided highway. The motorcycle was lying in the road with heavy damage. The deputy did notice blood on the motorcycle and a severely damaged glove along with the bottom of a boot. He had reason to believe the driver may have been ejected even they he noticed the key had been removed.
Magnolia Fire Department was requested to respond to the scene with a FLIR, a camera that is capable of spotting someone in the wooded area. After over 45 minutes of searching, nothing was found.
DPS was notified to work the crash and Tomball Hospital was alerted to notify law enforcement of any person arriving that could have been in a motorcycle crash.
The expired registration and inspection sticker showed the motorcycle registered to a Cypress man .
