Just before 8:00 p.m. Shane Ray Dastous, 35, of Dayton, Texas was riding a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Old Houston Road just south of FM 1314 . DPS troopers say he left the roadway in a curve. His motorcycle then laid on its side striking a tree. Dastous, not wearing a helmet was ejected. Porter Fire Department responded to the scene along with MCHD. Medics first ordered Life Flight and Porter Fire Department set up a landing zone at Williams Airport on Porter Lane. Before Life Flight arrived they were canceled as the man went into traumatic arrest. He was transported to Kingwood Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
