At 6:10 p.m. Monday North Montgomery County Fire Department was dispatched to a reported motorcycle crash on County Line Road near Cedar Lane in Willis. First responders arrived to find a motorcycle in the ditch, its rider was deceased in the roadway. DPS Troopers investigated the crash. The 1994 Suzuki motorcycle was traveling west on County Line and for unknown reasons, the bike went down and into the eastbound lane. An eastbound Hyundai struck the bike and victim. DPS was assisted by the Montgomery County Vehicular Crimes Unit. No charges are anticipated. The name of the deceased driver has not been released. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene for the inquest and ordered Eichenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. County Line Road reopened at 9pm. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control.
