Just before 11:30 a.m., Conroe Police reported a fatal motorcycle crash at FM 1488 and Mansions Drive just west of I-45. We are awaiting additional information from Conroe Police. A witness on the scene said the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred. Eastbound traffic was closed on FM 1488 during the incident. Westbound was moved to the shoulder. This is an area where TXDOT installed the tall curbs. Several pickups were able to jump it to turn around, one passenger car tried it and tore the scoop out from under the vehicle.
