Tuesday afternoon a Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputy attempted to stop a blue Yamaha FZ 1000 motorcycle on US 59 at FM 1314. The motorcycle fled at speeds over 100 mph. Deputies engaged in a pursuit which continued down US 59 to FM 1960 then East on FM 1960. The driver then turned into an auto repair shop parking lot near Timber Forest where he hit a speed bump and laid the bike down. He attempted to flee on foot but was quickly detained by the deputy and an off duty deputy. The motorcycle which had the ignition drilled out was determined to have been stolen earlier in the day in Houston. Daniel Laxson, 33, of 19702 Faye Oak in Humble is now in the Montgomery County Jail on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance 4g-200g. He was in possession of 7.5 grams of meth.
