Just before 7pm, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup was traveling north of the I-69 feeder near Antique Lane when a male in his 30s on a Kawasaki motorcycle, who had been weaving in and out of lanes slammed into the rear of the Silverado at close to 100mph. The impact was so great that it pushed the pickup truck bed against the cab of the truck. The motorcyclist was conscious when East Montgomery County Fire arrived on the scene. MCHD transported him to HCA Kingwood in very critical condition. The driver of the pickup suffered an injured back. DPS investigated the crash and debris field over the length of a football field. The speedometer on the bike was locked at 90mph. Back in October this same rider on the same bike crashed at SH 99 near Valley Ranch. His vehicle was damaged in that crash but he suffered minor injuries. The I-69 feeder was closed northbound for just over one hour.
