The unthinkable happened at a nursing home earlier today, when police say there was a murder-suicide.
According to witnesses, an elderly man walked into his wife’s room at Pine Ridge Health Care (located at 1620 US-59 North) and shot his wife to death and then turned the gun on himself. Units with Livingston Police Department were dispatched to the scene along with units from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. That’s all the information we have at this time. We’ll post an update when we’re able to get more information.
