At 1:57 a.m.this morning Montgomery County 911 received a call for a shooting and stabbing at 3306 Gary Lane in the Timber Lakes/Timber Ridge Subdivision. When they arrived they found a 25-year-old Delissa Facio stabbed one time in the chest with a kitchen knife lying in the hallway. Her mother Yolanda Facio who is 47 years –old was found in the bedroom on the bed with a single gunshot wound to the head.
MCHD Paramedics and Timber Lakes Firefighters worked on both victims. Yolanda Facio passed away on the scene. Delissa Facio was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands in critical condition. Just before they arrived at the hospital the daughter went into traumatic arrest. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
According to Lt. Bill Bucks of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office there were no signs of a struggle. He said the other daughter who is 24-years-old was asleep and heard her sister calling her. She then discovered her in the hallway and fled the house with a 5-month-old boy until deputies arrived. Investigators did not find a note but did find a life insurance policy and a letter spelling out funeral arrangements next to the mothers body.
Neighbors commented on how the family always got along with everyone. One neighbor who said he had gone to Mexico for the summer left his dogs with the family to care for.
he also said that during Hurricane Ike his house flooded and the family gave them beds to sleep on.
The husband/father was not home at the time of the incident but returned while investigators were on the scene.
