Houston Police Department called upon Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department Friday afternoon to assist them in locating a murder suspect.
According to Houston Police Department Homicide Detective Stahlin at 12:15am on Friday Houston Police were called to apartment 1106 of the Luxor Park/Rancho Verde Apartments in the 6000 block of Sunforest in Northwest Houston.
The call originally came in as a shots fired disturbance.
When patrol officers arrived they found Eddie Floyd Gordon age 41, with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
On further investigation they determined that Wilmer Ruiz Amador, age 26, who lived in the complex was responsible. Further investigation revealed he had gone to the Conroe area and on Friday evening he was arrested while standing outside a home in the 17300 block of Cozumel near Crockett Martin and Highway 105by Houston Police Detectives and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies.
Amador was returned to Houston where he is charged with murder in the 338th State District Court.
This is the second time in a week Montgomery County Deputies were able to track down murder suspects for other agencies. The first was earlier in the week when they arrested a Plano murder suspect on IH-45 near the Woodlands.
