Around 9 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Conroe Police responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex located in the 300 block of West Gladstell where they found a Hispanic male with a gunshot wound to the chest.
EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Hermann Memorial Hospital in the Woodlands.
Through initial patrol officer investigation and witness statements, officers and Investigators determined the shooter might live in the same complex. Officers and Investigators were able to identify a possible suspect and location within the complex.
When officers and Investigators approached the location, they observed the suspect standing on the balcony in front of his apartment. Officers made contact with the suspect later identified as 30-year-old Lucio Soleto-Garcia.
Soleto-Garcia was detained and interviewed and officers found a .22 caliber revolver in his apartment. The caliber of the weapon was consistent with characteristics of the victim’s wound.
Lucio Soleto-Garcia was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
