On Friday, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and Deputies with the Montgomery County SWAT team executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Holly Creek Court, in The Woodlands, Texas. Upon making entry into the residence, one resident, Chris Hartwell, was present. His wife, Haivan Bui, a chemistry teacher at Oak Ridge High School and Lone Star College was not present during the execution of the search warrant.
During the search warrant, approximately 2 ounces of methamphetamine and several ounces of Gamma Hydroxy Butyrate, a compound utilized in, “date rape drugs’, was located inside the residence. Recipes for, “date rape drugs”, were located in the residence and in a back pack that Haivan Bui had on her person when she was later arrested. Additionally, marijuana, numerous prescription medications, and a loaded shotgun were located inside the residence.
Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit, along with representatives of the Conroe Independent School District Police Department, arrested Haivan Bui at the Oak Ridge High School on an arrest warrant, on this date. The investigation is still ongoing and is actively being investigated at this time.
Currently Chris Hartwell is being charged with one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance; one count of Aggravated Possession of a Controlled Substance; and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Haivan Bui is currently being charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver/Manufacture a Controlled Substance.
