Residents and community members are invited to attend the National Night Out at the Conroe Target on Tuesday, October 7th from 5pm to 8pm. Conroe Police Officers and Firefighters will be on hand to encourage neighborhood spirit within our community, heighten crime and drug prevention and generate support for local anticrime groups. The event will have festivities for children such as a climbing wall, trackless train, and opportunities to participate in various activities. Additionally, hot dogs, chips and soft drinks will be served.
This is an opportunity for community members not only to meet local police officers and firefighters, but also to meets neighbors and local business owners. National Project Coordinator, Matt Peskin describes National Night Out as, “…a night for America to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight for a safer nation. On National Night Out, we invite neighborhoods nationwide to join us and ‘give crime a going away party’.”
