On May 3, 2010, around 8:30 PM patrol deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress on Ramblewood in Walden.
When deputies arrived they met with a neighbor who had seen a car in the driveway of his neighbor’s home and saw suspects loading property. As the neighbor approached the suspects, the suspects got into the vehicle and tried to flee nearly hitting the neighbor. The neighbor fired a gun at the suspect’s car and the suspects returned fire as they sped away. The neighbor suffered a superficial gunshot wound that required minor treatment.
The victim was able to provide descriptions of both the suspects and the vehicle. The vehicle was later found abandoned in the 11100 block of Twain Road at the dead-end of Walden Dr.
During a search of the area the suspects were not found. A handgun was found near the Ramblewood home by joggers who alerted deputies.
The next morning Detective David Eason found two men at a nearby store that met the description of the suspects. The suspects had in their possession property that had been stolen from the home on Ramblewood.
