On Saturday, June 7, 2025, Montgomery County Deputies were dispatched to the Target at Valley Ranch for a reported shoplifter in custody. They arrived and learned that Angela Tompkins, the New Caney ISD Position 4 Secretary, had attempted to leave the store with flowers and make-up without paying for it. She was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of Theft less than $750, a misdemeanor charge. She is scheduled to make an appearance in court on July 7, 2025. She was released on a $500 PR Bond.
