A quick response by the crew on duty at Station 71 as they donned their gear and headed out to reports of a breaking wildfire west of I-45. A U.S. Forest Service Wildland Engine joined them on scene and after a few minutes working together in triple digit temperatures, a potential major incident is under control.
This same scene is taking place today all across Texas as Firefighters race to get ahead of new wildfire starts.
1. Don’t burn under any circumstances.
2. Use caution and limit the use of any ignition sources outdoors.
