Just after 4 am Wednesday morning North Montgomery County Fire responded to a reported fire at the Barker 5 Tax Service at 17805 SH 105 East. They arrived with a fire showing on the front of the building. They were able to quickly extinguish it with minimal damage. The fire was reported by a passing motorist. The Montgomery County Fire Marshals Office is investigating. This was the second structure fire of the night. NMC Fire along with Montgomery and New Waverly Fire Departments fought a house fire in the 11700 block of East Small Oak off FM 1097 East in Willis. Units arrived on the scene with heavy fire.
