In the wake of Hurricane Beryl, we are once again receiving reports of calls to Houston residents who have recently lost pets asking for payments over the phone using a phone number masked to show BARC’s customer service line: 832-395-9084.
Reports have stated that this individual is falsely claiming that BARC has their pets and they require urgent medical treatment, then requesting payment over the phone. Please be aware that BARC does not solicit payments over the phone for any reason. If you receive a call requesting payment and claiming affiliation with BARC, we urge you to immediately disconnect the call.
BARC is open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm to search for lost pets at our 3200 Carr entrance. Please visit us during our open hours if you need assistance or have any concerns regarding your lost pet.
