Dan Norris, a 25-year law enforcement veteran with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, officially filed on Monday for the position of Precinct 3 Constable on the Republican ballot.
“I’ve been working hard as a candidate for over a year now and it felt great to finally make it official,” a smiling Dan Norris said.
Joining a handful of would-be candidates for other local offices on the sidewalk in front of Republican Headquarters, Norris awaited the official opening of the filing period. Dr. Walter Wilkerson, Republican Party Chairman informed those waiting that filing would start promptly at 9 a.m. in accordance with state law.
“I am looking forward to having the opportunity to meet as many residents of Precinct 3 as possible over the next few months,” Norris said. “I will be listening to their concerns and sharing my vision for the Constable’s Office.”
