On Sunday morning, November 9, 2025, at approximately 10:30 AM, Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Detectives responded to a townhouse located at 12255 West Village Drive in reference to a Death investigation. Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and EMS responded to an in-progress call when a man called 911 and claimed his wife, identified as Crystal Felder, age 24, had shot herself during an argument. Once Deputies and EMS arrived, life-saving measures were performed, but the complainant could not be saved and died on scene. It was apparent she had sustained at least one gunshot wound to the head. The husband, identified as Traveon Sullivan, stayed on scene but was transported to the hospital prior to the Homicide Detective’s arrival. Detectives interviewed a witness who was present before the shooting occurred, along with other neighbors and family members who later arrived at the scene after hearing the news of the shooting. Only the husband and wife were inside the townhome when the shooting occurred. Once a search warrant was obtained, Detectives, along with CSI Deputies, entered the home and processed the scene. The evidence was reviewed and photographed before being removed from the home. The husband was not able to be interviewed due to his mental condition and was later admitted into the hospital for undisclosed health issues. The incident is being investigated with all possibilities being explored and it is unclear at the moment if the shooting was a suicide or Murder. The complainant’s body was eventually removed by the Medical Examiner’s Office, and an autopsy will be performed in the next 24 hours to confirm the cause and manner of death.
