On Thursday September 23, 2010, The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit was contacted by MCSO District 4 Patrol to assist with a narcotics investigation.
The Patrol Deputies were dispatched to a welfare check at a residence located in the 24000 Blk of Spencer Blvd. Magnolia. On the Deputies arrival a naked adult female was yelling incoherently.
The Deputies checked the residence and immediately noticed a strong marijuana odor. Also several firearms were located within the residence. The deputies found no one inside the residence.
The SIU responded to the scene with a search warrant and recovered numerous Hydroponic grown marijuana plants and numerous firearms from within the suspect residence. Two rooms inside the residence were set up as Hydroponic grow sites containing approximately 125 plants.
Hydroponic marijuana has a street value of $5500 a pound. Each plant is capable of producing one pound of marijuana. The female was transported to the hospital for observation and medical evaluation. The case file will be forwarded to the MCDA for review and prosecution.
