The National Weather Service in League City has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
East central Colorado County in southeastern Texas…
North central Wharton County in southeastern Texas…
Eastern Austin County in southeastern Texas…
Southern Montgomery County in southeastern Texas…
Northern Fort Bend County in southeastern Texas…
Waller County in southeastern Texas…
Western Harris County in southeastern Texas…

* Until 430 PM CDT.

* At 229 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. This additional rainfall will quickly runoff after the rainfall of the last 24
hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Sugar Land, Rosenberg, Stafford, Humble, Katy, Richmond, Tomball, Jersey Village, Sealy, Prairie View, Brookshire, Hunters Creek Village, Eagle Lake, Bunker Hill Village, Piney Point Village, Pinehurst, Northside / Northline, Spring Branch North, The Woodlands and Greater Greenspoint.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches will be possible over the area.
This additional rain will make minor flooding and street flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
