...The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a flood warning
for the following rivers...

  Peach Creek Near Splendora affecting the following counties in Texas...
  Harris...Montgomery
  West Fork San Jacinto In Humble affecting the following counties in Texas...
  Harris...Montgomery


For Peach Creek at Splendora, Minor flooding is forecasted.  For West Fork San
Jacinto River at Humble, Minor flooding is forecasted.

Heavy rainfall during the past 24 hours has caused a rise on area rivers and streams.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede.

Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route.

Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few
days.

* Flood Warning for
  The West Fork San Jacinto In Humble.
* until Friday evening...or until the warning is canceled.
* At 0445 AM Thursday the stage was 48.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 49.3 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this morning and continue to rise to near
  49.9 feet by this evening.the river will fall below flood stage by tomorrow
  late morning.
* At 50.3 feet...Moderate lowland flooding begins as homes on Lake Point Drive
  in the Northshore subdivision begin flooding and roads in the Bellaeu Woods
  subdivision are inundated.

* At 0500 AM Thursday the stage was 12.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this morning and continue to rise to near
  13.4 feet by this morning.the river will fall below flood stage by late this
  morning.
* At 13.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding begins as water escapes the main
  channel.

  Southeastern Trinity County in southeastern Texas...
  Northern Montgomery County in southeastern Texas...
  San Jacinto County in southeastern Texas...
  Polk County in southeastern Texas...
  Southeastern Walker County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 645 AM CDT.

* At 416 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  moderate rain across already saturated soils in the warned area.
  Flash flooding is likely still ongoing.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Southeastern Huntsville, Willis, Livingston, Shepherd, Onalaska,
  Corrigan, Cut And Shoot, New Waverly, Coldspring, Point Blank,
  Riverside, Goodrich, North Cleveland, Seven Oaks, Sebastopol, Lake
  Livingston State Park, Alabama-Coushatta Reservation, West
  Livingston, Huntsville State Park and Leggett.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

  Richmond, Tomball, Wharton, Cleveland, Jersey Village, Sealy,
  Hempstead, Willis, Prairie View, Livingston, Brookshire, Hunters
  Creek Village, Bellville, Columbus and Eagle Lake.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
