NWS: Isolated storms this evening / Red Flag Warning for Saturday

  • A few thunderstorms may develop early this evening (6-10 pm) near the Piney Woods area. A few may briefly become strong with hail and gusty winds, the primary hazards. There is a Marginal chance of severe storms for parts of the area.

 

 

  • Dangerous fire weather conditions are anticipated Saturday with low humidities and gusty west winds expected.

  • Even if your specific location is not within the Red Flag Warning area, elevated fire weather conditions are still anticipated.

Scott Engle and Jamie Nash are Montgomery County residents and veteran law enforcement / breaking news reporters, who met covering a law enforcement story and have covered multiple counties, with Scott as a television videographer for multiple local stations and national networks, and Jamie as newspaper / magazine / online reporter.
