NWS: Thunderstorm with Strong Wind Gusts, Large Hail

The National Weather Service has issued an alert four areas in and around Montgomery County, and includes strong wind gusts that could further delay restoration of power for some or take power lines back down that were already repaired.

SOUTHWESTERN LIBERTY AND NORTHEASTERN HARRIS COUNTIES THROUGH 615 PM
CDT...

At 530 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
northeastern Atascocita, or near Kingwood, moving northeast at 15
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Humble, Dayton, Kingwood, Crosby, Lake Houston Dam, Lake Houston,
Atascocita, East Little York / Homestead, East Houston, Houston
Gardens, and eastern Bush Intercontinental Airport.
