Billy “BK” Morgan, born on September 12, 1943, passed away on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024, at the age of 81.

Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 4.5 years during the Vietnam War. Afterward, he dedicated 23 years to the Houston Police Department, where he retired as a Sergeant in the Robbery and Investigation Division. He continued his public service as a Deputy at the Harris County Sheriff’s Department for 13 years, retiring in 2004. Bill was also a member of his local Masonic Lodge, where he actively contributed to his community.

On March 21, 1975, Bill married the love of his life, Linda Morgan, and together they raised two sons, David and Allen. In 1999, while at the Sheriff’s Office, Bill took a young deputy named Richard under his wing. Richard and his growing family quickly became a part of Bill and Linda’s own, and Bill proudly earned the title of ‘Grandpa.’

In 2018, Bill was blessed when Ancestry.com connected him with his son Mark, forming a special relationship with him and his family.

In retirement, Bill enjoyed traveling, participating in craft shows alongside Linda, and building friendships wherever he went.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 50 years, Linda Morgan; sons David Morgan, Allen Morgan, Mark O’Kilen and wife Brenda, and Richard Crabtrey and wife Sasha. He was a proud grandfather to Jake Morgan, Travis and Riley O’Kilen, and Grant and Zeah Crabtrey.

Bill will be greatly missed by the many law enforcement officers, art and craft show vendors, close friends, and neighbors he and Linda considered family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The 100 Club or Covenant Church of Willis, Texas.

A celebration of life for Billie will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM at North Montgomery County Community Center, 600 Gerald St., Willis, Texas. Following the celebration of life will be a graveside service and interment at 2:15 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas.
