Burial will be 11 AM on May 12 at Wellborn Cemetery, 6783 Victoria Ave, College Station TX 77845. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.

Carolyn was the daughter of Garland and Evelyn Downum. She is survived by husband Dr. Larry White, sons Loren White of Jackson, MS and Jay White of College Station, TX, her sister Janice Barnett of Ponder, TX, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Phil Downum and grandchildren Cynthia White and Jadon White. Previously she lived in Flagstaff, AZ; Tucson, AZ; Embu, Kenya; Gainesville, FL; and Uvalde, TX. Carolyn spent several years teaching fiddle lessons and working as a court reporter. She will be greatly missed.
