It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of SMSgt Dennis Frank Miller on
Friday, March 14 th , 2025, at the age of 76. Dennis was born on November 8 th , 1948 in
Elgin, ND to Joseph and Anna (Mayer) Miller.
After moving around to multiple homesteads throughout North Dakota and Oklahoma,
Dennis joined the United States Air Force in 1966. Dennis met Donna Olive, his beloved
wife of 50 years in 1973 in Miami, Fl. From there they started their adventures together
travelling the world and never stopping.
Dennis served in Vietnam and throughout his Air Force career in the crucial role of
weather maintenance, analyzing weather conditions, issuing warnings, and briefing
pilots, ensuring mission success.
Dennis had a distinguished career of 22.5 years, and retired at the rank of SMSgt in
1989. He began his second career in Richardson, TX at Fujitsu working in fiber optic
telecommunications. Dennis and Donna entered an early retirement in 2001, continuing
their adventures on the road, this time with their RV and boat. The list of hobbies are too
great to list, but include ham radio and most importantly fishing. Among all his proud
accomplishments, in retirement his claim to fame was catching a crappie in all 48
contiguous states and freshwater fish in all 50.
Preceded in joining the Lord: Mother & Father, Joseph and Anna Miller and sisters Evie
Nickel, Eileen Galbreath, and Delores Klein, and brother Sep Miller.
Survived by: wife, Donna Miller; son Darren Miller and daughter-in-law Kelli (Ivy) Miller;
brother, Harvey Miller; grandchildren, Leland and Ivy Miller, and ALL of the loving
cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends whom he continued to travel to and visit
throughout his life.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Eickenhorst Funeral Home, Conroe, TX.
Visitation will be at Eickenhorst Funeral Home on 3/25/25 from 11am – 1 pm. A
graveside service will be held with military honors at Dennis’s final resting place,
Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038 on
3/25/25 at 2pm.
