Michael Lee Jones, Jr. was born on April the 9th 1969, in Houston, Texas. He passed away on November 6th, 2022, at Bayshore hospital in Pasadena Texas at the age of 53 years, 6 months, and 28 days.
Michael, or (Mike), as many called him, was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James S. and Norma Jones; and maternal grandparents, James Howard and Ollie Ridgeway; and step-granddaughter, Emma Lewis.
He is survived by his wife, Jeniffer Townsend Jones; step-daughter, Kayla Lewis and husband Jacob Lewis; sons, Seth Jones, Nicholas Jones and his fiancée Alexis Hedding; daughter, Sienna Jones; grandchildren, Autumn Richards, Jameson Lewis, and Juliet Lewis; sister, Melissa Patterson and her husband Shawn Patterson; nephews, Chase Patterson, and Corey Patterson; parents, Mike Sr. and Linda Jones; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other extended family and friends.
Mike graduated from Nimitz High School in 1987 and began working as a machinist. He went on to own and operate a wrecker service and eventually worked for a large wrecker service in Spring, Texas. If you were in need to know a street or how to get around in Houston and surrounding areas, you asked Michael. He was a walking GPS.
Mike enjoyed fishing and sports. He played sports from childhood into his teens. He was most passionate about baseball and played many of his childhood years at Parkwood American Little League and briefly in high school.
Mike was an avid Astros and Texans fan. He tried to never miss a game, but what Michael loved most in life was his children. He was very proud of each of them, and every conversation included them.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at The Church at Creek’s End, 20010 Kuykendahl Rd, Spring, Texas 77379. Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 1:00 PM.
