September 21, 1969 – September 14, 2024
Richard Aaron Navojosky, known to most as Ski, was born on September 21, 1969, and passed away peacefully on the morning of September 14, 2024, after an arduous four-year battle with cancer. He was at home with his wife after the first night back from a three-week hospital stay for treatment. Rich was known as a kind and patient father to his son, Xander, and a romantic, loving partner to his wife, Kim, as well as a beloved son to his parents Kathy and Rich. To many, he was an honest, hardworking, and reliable friend.
After graduating in the class of 1987 from Lansingburgh High School, Rich originally pursued a job working as a welder and machinist, later becoming an IT consultant and leveraging his natural talent with the subject. He would stay in the IT sector up until his retirement in the summer of 2020.
Aside from his fruitful career in the tech center, Rich personally loved riding his motorcycle, collecting watches and knives, and off-roading. Most of all he loved sitting around a fire with close friends, and family, good drinks, and even better stories. Although a man of many hobbies he would always find time for family. A gentle soul gifted with a strong body, Rich was a natural protector and provider for his family. Not once would he miss a soccer game, band recital, or graduation for his son, and he would always make it to the airport or office building for his wife.
He is survived by his parents Kathleen and Richard Navojosky, his wife Kimberly Navojosky, and his son Xander Surry Navojosky, along with in-laws, nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts, and many cousins.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life for Rich on October 12th from 11 am to 4 pm at the American Legion. 111 Main Avenue, Wynantskill NY 12198
