Sarah Beth Tubbe passed from this life She was born July 15, 1938, in Nacogdoches, Texas to parents, Thomas Oliver Hill and Beuna Mae Hill. She leaves behind her only child Tamberly Tubbe Brown, Sister Dianne Green, Sister-in-law Ann Hill, and two grandchildren Thomas VonAugust Brown and Alexandra Regan Brown. Sarah and John were both school teachers and lived in several locations throughout their marriage, eventually retiring to Nacogdoches. Sarah and John both had strong family ties to Nacogdoches, where they chose to retire. In Nacogdoches, she was a member of several organizations such as the Garden Club, and Daughters of the American Revolution, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed travel and upon retirement made many trips in the USA and overseas. She enjoyed the outdoors and loved to garden. She had a deep interest in genealogy and contributed to different books written on her and John’s family genealogy and set up cemetery stones giving brief family histories at various cemeteries around Nacogdoches. She was an involved mother and grandmother who spent a lot of time with her family.

In 2011 due to the diagnosis of dementia, she moved to the Conroe/Magnolia area where she lived until her death so her daughter could oversee her care. The family would like to thank Ranch Lake Assisted Living and all of its employees for the wonderful care and love they showed Sarah in her last years. We cannot express our thanks and gratitude to each of you enough.
