Obituary for Steven Earl Darsey

August 13, 1969 – September 22, 2024

Steven Earl Darsey of Conroe, TX was born in Houston, TX on August 13, 1969, to William and Julie Darsey as the youngest of 4 siblings, and was called home on September 22, 2024 – surrounded by family – at the young age of 55. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and very dear friend. Although gone too soon, his memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, and everyone whose life he touched.

Steven grew up in Conroe, TX and attended Conroe High School. In his early years, he was in construction building homes but ended up as an electrician by trade. What he really loved to do was spend time with his family and friends and to play golf. He spent many hours on the golf course working on perfecting that swing! He participated in many tournaments all while making the best memories. When Steven wasn’t working or playing golf with his son, you could find him fixing or working on something for his friends or family. You can guarantee that if you needed something fixed, he was the one that you called first. He was well known by his family, friends, and acquaintances for always being willing and able to help someone in any way he knew how and being able to fix just about anything.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, William Darsey and Julie Camara; brother, William “Billy” Darsey; sister, Roberta Cain; and granddaughter Corlyn Baxley. He is survived by Lisa Darsey; children, Chasidy Ogden, Kaylee Hodges (Chris), Wesley Darsey, and Blair Baxley; grandchildren, Gauge Hodges, Melanie Beeson, Brantlee Hodges, Weston Hodges, Lillie Ogden and Leighton Parr; brother, Richard Darsey (Julie). Steven is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Eickenhorst Funeral Services, 12412 FM 2854 Rd, Conroe, TX 77304. The Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at the funeral home. Graveside and burial will follow at 1:00 PM in Rosewood Memorial Park, 2602 S Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77396. There will be a formal procession from the funeral home to the cemetery.
