Leah Woods Benson, 94, of Lake Jackson, Texas passed away on August 16, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. She was born on February 29, 1920 in Reno County, Kansas to Charlie and Alpha Woods. She spent her childhood in Breckenridge, Texas and was baptized in 1932. She graduated from Breckenridge High School and Abilene Business School. She married J. W. Benson in 1943 and had two children. The family moved to Lake Jackson in 1956 where she resided for 58 years. She was a faithful member of The Lake Jackson Church of Christ. She was a homemaker until her children went to college and then she worked as a dental office manager.
Leah is survived by her children; Lanie Benson of Driggs, Idaho, Cheryl Benson Rodriguez and husband John of Conroe, Texas; granddaughter Juli Rodriguez of Austin, Texas; grandson, Matt Rodriguez and wife Paige and great grandchildren Jagger and Breck of Conroe, Texas.
A private family service will be held in Conroe, TX and burial in Breckenridge, Texas.
