On Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at approximately 7:50 PM, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were waived down by loss prevention, at the Wal-Mart located in the 3000 block of College Park Drive, in The Woodlands, Texas. Wal-Mart representatives advised that three males were attempting to purchase merchandise with stolen credit cards.
As Deputies approached the location, the three males fled on foot. Deputies were able to detain one of the males who were fleeing. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit was contacted and responded to the location. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the Secret Service, were able to determine that 27 of the credit cards that were in the possession of the detained subject, contained 54 stolen account numbers from various individuals in and around the Spring and Woodlands area. The detained suspect was arrested at the scene and charged with fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.
An investigation is on-going by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Unit, in conjunction with the Secret Service.
Arrested was Rudolph Ronaldo Rogers, 34 of 2439 Montegu, in New Orleans, Louisiana.
A bond of $50,000 was set on Rogers which he posted and was released
