At 8:39p.m. Saturday evening MCHD arrived n the scene of a major accident along with North Montgomery County Fire Department.
What they found was a Toyota Mini-van approximately thirty feet below the road surface in a creek. Getting to the patients was difficult and required North Montgomery County Fire Departments ladder truck to assist.
PHI Air4 Medical was requested along with Life Flight. Very soon after they were disregarded as the female passenger had passed away. The male driver, still unidentified was in critical condition and transported to Hermann Hospital in the Woodlands. He remains in very critical condition.
According to DPS it appears the 2003 Toyota van was westbound on County Line Road when the driver approached a curve just before Caney Creek. The vehicle left the roadway to the north side of the road and then appeared to have over corrected skidding sideways so the right side of the van struck the guard rail.
At that point the vehicle became air borne and after about eightY-feet crashed into the westside bank of Caney Creek.
It appears the driver was wearing a seatbelt. However the female was not.
Judge Moriarty, Justice of the Peace in Precinct 1 pronounced the female dead and ordered the victim be transported to Dallas for autopsy.

Wreckers were unable to retrieve the van. A Milstead heavy duty wrecker was called to the scene and raised the vehicle out of the creek and to the road surface,
The victims in this crash have been identified as Marji Carol Cercy, 51 of Montgomery. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Mark Byers, 53 of Conroe.
