One of the largest methamphetamine seizures in Montgomery County History

On October 27, 2011, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit and SWAT Unit working cooperatively with DEA stopped a vehicle on N. Walker Road just north of State Highway 105. The vehicle was believed to have methamphetamine concealed within it.

Inside the vehicle deputies found 14 gallons of liquid methamphetamine one of the largest seizures ever of its kind in Montgomery County.

Both suspects were taken into federal custody and are both believed to be undocumented aliens.

DEA hazardous material experts took custody of the liquid and experts believe the seizure could make as much as 200 pounds of methamphetamine having a street value of over $4.8 million.

The hours of investigation, the number of personnel required and the clean-up efforts took approximately 30 investigators and staff over 30 hours working without a break.

Inside the vehicle there was also as a 7 month old child. The child was released to CPS.
