OVERNIGHT CRASH SENDS ONE TO JAIL

At about 12:30 am Friday Caney Creek Fire responded to a reported vehicle rollover on FM 3083 near Ben Milam School. Units arrived to find a Pontiac upside down on the northbound side of FM 3083. The driver had already crawled out of the vehicle and was uninjured. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived to investigate the crash. They determined the driver was southbound at a high rate of speed. As he approached the curve he ran off the right shoulder and overcorrected. His vehicle left over 100 yards of skid before running into the ditch, hitting a culvert pipe, and flipping. Further investigation determined the driver, identified as Brandon Michael Lambert, 45, of 17388 Oak Grove in New Caney, was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to the hospital for medical clearance before being transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he is being held on a $600 bond for driving while intoxicated.
