OVERNIGHT FATAL CRASH IN THE WOODLANDS

At 2:26 am on Friday residents of The Woodlands heard a crash behind their home and called 911. MCHD, Woodlands Fire and Magnolia Fire responded to the scene and found a 2014 Ford F-150 crashed in the woods. The 22-year-old male was deceased in the vehicle. According to DPS which investigated the crash, the truck was traveling east on Research Forest at a high rate of speed and hit the point of where the road split to two lanes. The vehicle lost control and slammed into the woods. eastbound Research Forest was closed for several hours. DPS investigated the crash while Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office provided traffic control.

EDITORS NOTE: It seems drivers have no regard to emergency lights any longer. As I was out on this scene for several hours this morning, the eastbound lanes of Research Forest were closed. It amazes me with patrol cars blocking the lanes how drivers just ignore it and decide to make their own lane without any instruction from the officers. I am surprised those two deputies even have voices this morning after having to almost scream at people going around them and going head on into traffic to stop.
