Pct 1 Justice Of The Peace Wayne Mack To Seek Another Term

Before a crowd of hundreds of supporters at his 4th annual prayer breakfast. Judge Wayne Mack announced that he would seek the Republican parties nomination March 6th 2018 to serve another term. Mack, who has worked for the county since 1986, earning accolades, promotions and, most importantly, respect from his coworkers and community members, won the Republican primary in crowded field March 2014 and was appointed May 1, 2014 to fill out the remainder of long time Justice Court One Judge Lanny Moriarty’s term. Justice of the Peace Courts handle minor misdemeanor crime cases punishable by fines; civil matters involving less than $10,000; issue search and arrest warrants; conduct marriage ceremonies; and handle juvenile cases involving truancy and curfews. “I ran for office to make a difference,” Mack said. “I have a proven track record of being a public servant – a servant-leader. Helping impact the children of Pct 1 is what I am most proud of, my office provides a forum to resolve disputes and resolve property issues. I am also proud of the Chaplaincy Program I started which has brought comfort to the people impacted by the sudden loss of a family members.”Mack credits his staff for maintaining a current docket and the efficient flow of cases at the two Pct 1 Justice courts in Willis and Montgomery. Judge Wayne Mack and his wife Mindy, have 2 children Amber and Austin and
reside in Conroe.
