MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX – In August 2025, a detective with the Montgomery County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office, assigned to the Houston Area Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, launched an investigation into the offense of Sexual Performance by a Child.

During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as David Avanzi, 39, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

At the conclusion of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Attempted Sexual Performance by a Child Under 14 Years of Age, a second-degree felony.

On October 30, 2025, David Avanzi was taken into custody for the outstanding warrant.
