MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- On Monday, Pct. 3 Constable Ryan Gable’s Criminal Investigations Division, in conjunction with the Texas Department of Public Safety executed a residential search warrant at a residence in Katy, Texas. The investigation stemmed from the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Internet Crimes Against Children Detective’s undercover investigation related to the possession or promotion of child pornography on the dark web.
During execution of the search warrant, an interview was conducted with the suspect, James Paul Stone, a current Katy ISD teacher, in regard to the alleged allegations. Thousands of images of child pornography were recovered from the residence. Including several images that Stone admitted to producing himself. These images include images he admitted taking on school grounds, at beaches, and local swimming pools around the Katy area. Stone was immediately placed under arrest at the time of the search warrant and transported to the Fort Bend County Jail. Stone is charged with 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Pct. 3 informed Katy ISD of Stone’s arrest. This investigation is ongoing. The Montgomery County Pct. 3 Criminal Investigations Division believes there are multiple victims associated with this case.
