Pct. 4 Arrests Teen DWI Suspect After Patrol Car Struck

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Thursday, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the 11100 block of the S Sam Houston Parkway East to assist Harris County Constable Precinct 8 after one of their units was rear ended. Upon deputies arriving, the at-fault driver was identified as Jael Santiago, who displayed multiple signs of intoxication.

A series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered, and Deputies determined that he was intoxicated. Investigation revealed that he was allegedly in possession of 22.7 grams of Xanax and 6.27 ounces of marijuana. Further investigation revealed that he was out on bond for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

“Jael Santiago was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $5,100.00 out of County Court 4,” Constable Mark Herman said.
