HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Wednesday, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an in-progress theft call in the 16900 block of North Eldridge Parkway. Two men were reported to be breaking into an ATM. As Deputies reached the location, they saw the suspects fleeing in a vehicle.
Deputies followed the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The suspects then allegedly exited the vehicle and tried to run away. One succeeded. Deputies quickly caught the alleged driver, but the passenger disappeared into the night.
Deputies recovered $58,772. They also found the “getaway” vehicle had recently been reported stolen from the parking area of a nearby apartment complex. In addition to the alleged ATM incident and driving a stolen vehicle, 34-year-old Earl Royland Williams had open felony warrants in Harris County.
“Earl Williams was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Theft of ATM, Unlawful Use of Motor Vehicle, and his warrants. He is awaiting bond out of the 339th District Court,” Constable Mark Herman said.
