Following events for the date of Oct. 13 – Oct. 20:
Montgomery County Constable Pct. 4 deputies served 53 civil papers throughout East Montgomery County leaving 26 pending. There were no evections served. Captain Moody served 3 writs and is in the process of serving 5 more. Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s office made several arrests, and from those arrests, 31 JP 4 warrants were cleared. The Deputies also arrested 5 persons for outstanding Montgomery County misdemeanor warrants, and 3 persons were arrested for an outstanding felony warrants.
No Driver’s License, No Insurance, No Way!
13 vehicles were towed in East Montgomery County for no DL and no insurance and 18 citations were issued to the drivers for traffic violations. 4 other vehicles were towed after the driver’s were arrested during a traffic stop.
Neighborhood Narcotics Patrol
On 10-14-09 at 3:55 am Montgomery County Pct. 4 K-9 Deputy Bergland conducted a traffic stop on a green Ford car for a traffic violation in the New Caney area. While talking with the driver, Deputy Bergland noticed a marijuana cigarette in the vehicle. The driver was identified as 27-year-old Jesse Hughes from Porter. Jessie was arrested for possession of marijuana and transported to the East Montgomery County Jail.
On 10-15-09 at 12:15 am Deputy Bergland responded to a disturbance at the Johnson Rd. apartments in New Caney. During the investigation 18-year-old Ashley Trayel from Porter was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. She was found to be in possession of hydrocodone pills and xanax pills. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
Attempt to Locate a DWI Driver
On 10-18-09 at 10:30 pm Pct. 4 Deputy T. Hanks and her partner Deputy Looza responded to an attempt to locate a drunk driver call on Highway 59. Deputy Hanks located the green van driving that had no tail lights and was driving all over the road. The female driver was identified as 31 year old Melissa Hart from Houston. Further investigation found that Melissa was in possession of xanax pills and some cocaine. Melissa was transported to the Montgomery County Jail for possession of a controlled substance.
Evading from the Courtroom
On 10-15-09 at 10:00 am Pct. 4 Deputy Constable Smith was alerted of a wanted felon that was inside the Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace courtroom. Deputy Smith attempted to detain the 18 year old man and a foot pursuit followed. The wanted man ran out into the parking lot and was able to get into his Chevy truck. Several Montgomery County Pct. 4 Deputies had joined in the vehicle pursuit that took Deputies from Porter and back to New Caney. The vehicle was disabled by Deputies after the vehicle pursuit reached speeds up to 90 mph. The pursuit was about to cross into Harris County, when the fleeing vehicle left the roadway and struck a light pole. The driver was taken into custody. The driver was identified as Michael Heck. Heck was booked into the Montgomery county Jail for several felony charges.
