Pct. 4 Crime Report

Montgomery County Pct 4 Constable Kenneth “Rowdy” Hayden reports the Following events for the dates of Oct. 6 – Oct. 13:

Montgomery County Constable Pct. 4 deputies served 69 civil papers throughout East Montgomery County leaving 46 pending. Captain Moody served 2 writs and is in the process of serving 6 more. Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s office made several arrests. From these arrests 31 JP 4 warrants were cleared. The Deputies also arrested 1 person for an outstanding Montgomery County misdemeanor warrant, and 5 persons for outstanding felony warrants.

No Driver’s License, No Insurance, No Way
7 vehicles were towed in East Montgomery County for no DL and no insurance and 15 citations were issued to the drivers for traffic violations. 5 other vehicles were towed after the driver’s were arrested during a traffic stop.

Neighborhood Narcotics Patrol
* On Oct. 7 at 8:55 p.m. Pct. 4 Deputy Boudreaux responded to a family violence in progress call on Walnut Ln. in New Caney. Deputy Boudreaux arrived on scene and found that the reportee had been assaulted by her boy friend. During the investigation the actor was located and checked for weapons. A large bag of marijuana was found in his pocket. The actor in this assault case was identified as 24 year old David Johnson from New Caney. David was arrested and transported to the East Montgomery County Jail. His bonds were set at $2000.
* On Oct. 7 at 11:45 p.m. K-9 Deputy Bergland conducted a traffic stop on a red car for fail to stop at a stop sign on Antique Ln near FM 1485. The driver was identified as 37-year-old Crystal Douglas from New Caney. Further investigation found that she was in possession of methamphetamine. Crystal was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Her bond was set at $1500.

Attempt to Locate a DWI Driver
On Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office broadcast an attempt to locate a drunk driver on Hwy 59. This call came in on the 911 line from a concerned citizen who witnessed a vehicle driving very slow on the freeway and swerving all over the road. MAP unit (Deputy Rivera) with the Pct. 4 Constable’s Office located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the Porter area. The driver was identified as 61-year-old Mary Gilliam from Spring. After several field sobriety tests, Mary was arrested for DWI and possession of a controlled substance. She was found to be in possession of several Darvocet pills. Mary had taken Darvocet, Xanax, and Hydrocodone. She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

Texas Department of Criminal Justice gets their man
On Oct. 7 at 2:15 p.m. several units with the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office assisted the Texas Department of Criminal Justice division with an arrest warrant for 40-year-old Jerrell Smith, who was wanted for an active felony warrant in reference to a prior case of aggravated sexual assault. As the Constable’s Office moved in on a house in Woodbranch, the homeowner- identified as 30 year old Jason Smith- advised deputies that his brother was not there and he had not seen him in a long time. After a search of the home, the wanted felon was found hiding inside the house between a bed and a wall. Jason Smith was then arrested for hindering apprehension. A stolen handgun was also located in the home. Both brothers were arrested and transported to the East Montgomery County Jail.

Bike Patrol Nabs Fugitive
On Oct. 6 at 10 p.m. several members of the Montgomery county Pct. 4 Constable’s Office patrolled the Porter business area on police bicycles. Chief Deputy Welch was among the bike patrol and was riding through the parking lot of the Super 8 Motel located at Ford Rd. and Hwy 59 when he was waved down by a female who was yelling at a man on the second story walk area. The female yelled at Chief Deputy Welch and pointed out a man that she said was a wanted person. Welch made contact with the man as he ran downstairs. The man told Welch his name was Bill Favelle. Welch later found that the man was actually 50-year-old Danny Gilbert from Houston, who was a wanted fugitive. He had an active felony arrest warrant for aggravated assault on a family member. Danny was placed into custody. The female was identified as 37-year-old Daniela Juneau from Houston. She was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Investigator Clendennen came to the scene with the Constable’s transport van. Both were transported to the Constable’s Office for booking process. Danny was charged with fail to ID as a fugitive and his felony warrant. Both were transported to the Montgomery County in Conroe.
