HARRIS COUNTY, TX— On Thursday, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Special Operations Unit arrested a man with an active felony warrant following a brief foot pursuit in north Harris County.
Deputies responded to the 300 block of Pennbright Drive after receiving reports of a suspicious man looking into parked vehicles. When they approached the suspect, he fled on foot. During the pursuit, a deputy deployed a department-issued Taser, allowing officers to safely detain the man.
The suspect, identified as 47-year-old Shawn Stone, was found to have an open felony warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. He was also charged with Evading Arrest on Foot.
“Shawn Stone was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant and charged with Evading on Foot. He is awaiting bond out of the 496th District Court,” said Constable Mark Herman.
