Pct. 4 Deputies Assist ICE Agents Under Attack

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Wednesday, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a high-priority call from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the 5300 block of FM 1960 E. ICE agents reported that they were being aggressively pursued by an unknown suspect.

Deputies quickly responded and located the suspect, 22-year-old Sergio Olivares. An investigation revealed that Olivares confronted federal agents, damaged a side mirror on their vehicle, and then chased them down the roadway in a reckless and dangerous manner, endangering surrounding motorists.

Deputies brought the situation under control and safely detain the suspect without further incident.

“Sergio Olivares was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Criminal Mischief. His bond was set at $500 out of County Court 16,” Constable Herman said.
