Pct. 4 Deputy Constables Infiltrate, Shut Down Illegal Gambling Operation

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Wednesday, Investigators with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office executed a search warrant at an unnamed illegal gambling establishment located in the 1200 block of Aldine Bender Road, after receiving citizen tips of illegal gambling inside of that building.

Investigators began an undercover investigation and confirmed there was, in fact, illegal gambling occurring there. Investigators ultimately seized over 6,000 in suspected gambling proceeds, along with numerous illegal gambling devices and documentation supporting illegal gambling operation within the business.

The store attendant, Elizabeth Elizondo was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Operating a Game room without a permit. Her bond was set at $100 out of County Court 12.

Illegal gambling often leads to much larger crimes putting the safety of the public in jeopardy. They are often targeted locations for serious crimes. These illegal gambling businesses are not regulated by the state and therefor do not create a “fair” chance at winning.

If you know or suspect a location or person of engaging in illegal gambling activity, please contact the Harris County Constable, Precinct 4 Mark Herman’s Office at 281-376-3472 or on-line at www.constablepct4.com/regulatory-enforcement-unit. All complaints or tips can be made anonymously.
