Pct. 4 Jails Woman for Assault in Bizarre Neighborhood Dispute

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office arrested a 62-year-old woman Thursday, after she allegedly assaulted two neighbors in the 6900 block of Foxport Lane, in the Humble area.

When deputies arrived on scene, they identified the suspect as Lin Jin. According to investigators, Jin sprayed two neighbors with bear spray while they were outside raking leaves and planting flowers. Bear spray is a type of pepper spray specifically formulated and packaged for use against aggressive or charging bears, particularly grizzly and black bears. It’s probably not kept in most homes in southeast Texas.

As deputies attempted to detain Jin, she reportedly became combative, ignored verbal commands, and physically resisted arrest. After a brief struggle, she was safely taken into custody.

Lin Jin was booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with two counts of Assault and one count of Resisting Arrest. Her total bond was set at $300 by County Court 5.

“This type of behavior will not be tolerated,” Constable Mark Herman in a statement said.
