Pct. 4 Says Convicted Sex Offender at it AGAIN!

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Saturday, a Deputy with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an Indecent Exposure call in the La Quinta Inn in the 21100 block of I-45. Deputies arrived and, the suspect involved was detained and identified as 66-year-old AB McCardell.

Further investigation revealed he allegedly exposed himself and “pleasured” himself in the pool, where women were present. A check of his ID revealed he is a registered sex offender due to an Indecency with a Child Conviction and Indecent Exposure Conviction. The registry shows McCardell was convicted or pleaded guilty of exposing himself to children in two separate incidents, years apart. One child was a 9-year-old girl and the other was a 13-year-old girl. Public records also show two convictions for indecent exposure, for a total of four convictions that earned him a spot on the registry for over a decade, but didn’t keep him behind bars. It was just last year a judge sentenced McCardell to two years in TDCJ for last pair of sexual predator charges, one being the victimizing of a 13-year-old girl, yet he was free and allegedly preying on more victims over the weekend.

McCardell also has prior convictions on his record for offenses that weren’t connected with being a sexual predator.

“Ab McCardell was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Indecent Exposure. His bond and court information have not been set at this time,” Constable Mark Herman said.
