SPRING, TX — A Spring man has been arrested after a violent shooting left another man critically injured on December 10, 2025, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.
Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Patrol Division were dispatched to the 4400 block of Donalbain Drive following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies secured the scene and located the suspect, who had fled the residence on foot but was quickly detained nearby.
Detectives with Constable Herman’s Special Victims Unit launched an investigation and determined that the incident began as a verbal argument between two men. The confrontation escalated when the suspect — identified as Lamarkus Jackson — allegedly shot the victim multiple times.
Investigators interviewed witnesses, gathered evidence, and questioned Jackson, who admitted to firing at the victim repeatedly. The victim sustained seven gunshot wounds and remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
Detectives also learned that Jackson discarded the firearm while fleeing in an attempt to prevent its recovery by law enforcement.
Based on the investigation, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges of Aggravated Assault and Tampering with Evidence against Jackson. He was booked into the Harris County Jail and issued multiple bonds totaling $100,000 out of the 183rd District Court.
Constable Mark Herman emphasized the department’s commitment to community safety, stating, “The Harris County Constable Precinct Four will spare no expense or resource to arrest and prosecute violent offenders who prey on members of our community.”
